Are you ready to transform your year. Here’s how…
Thoughts of success whirled about in my mind today. Quotes like,”Success is not something you pursue but something you attract through the person you become,” starting rehearsing in my mind.
What I know is that success is not about what you obtain. Success is about things like making the right choices in the face of adversity, about taking action and not allowing fear to make you run in the opposite direction but being courageous enough to stand firm and become the type of person that will act in the face of fear, being the one who perseveres to reach their dreams.
I only have 1 question today…what action is it that you haven’t completed that fear is holding you back from? Become the person you were meant to be. Allow your goals to take you to a place in freedom where you can be who God has called you to be and nothing less.
Be blessed 🙂
Some people just seem to have it together right? They have the perfect paying job, their house is always immaculate, and everything just always seems good! That’s great 🙂 Really it is! But as I came home from church with my four busy boys, less than clean house, and still not having lunch prepared…thoughts of my sweet sister in law ran through my mind “I always keep my house clean.”
Yep…I was immediately pushed to clean my entire house. Then I took a moment and thought while it was great motivation for me, the core of my motivation at that moment was not to be a better me but to become someone else’s idea of perfection.
See I believe that we all have our short comings. None of us are perfect.
Those “perfect” habits that people have should not forge you to unrealistic expectations for yourself but should encourage you to be a better, more authentic person that God has called you to be.
My 11-year old son is always looking in the mirror. It’s both funny and weird because although he is always looking in the mirror, he sees his flaws yet hardly ever changes them.
This made me do some thinking…I thought isn’t that just like us as we try to accomplish our goals or strive to better ourselves. We constantly reflect over our mistakes and yet in our own evaluations of ourselves we choose to leave our flaws as they are. We get too comfortable. In a sense we choose to leave our flaws unchanged and the same instead of changing them and growing from them.
So let me ask you, what is it that you need to change, remove, and/or work on? What alterations do you need to make in your life? What habits can you fix that would help to ensure that your goals in life are met? Don’t just think about it! Don’t just leave the dried up toothpaste stain on your face (so to speak :-)) or leave those dangling strings hanging off your clothes. Take evaluation and make the change today and alter your life!
Be blessed everyone!!! 🙂 Please feel free to leave comments. What changes do you need to make? What is your action plan to making the change?
