Be authentic

I remember Oprah saying that when she started her show how imitated she was about competing with some of the top rated shows out there. Her solution: You’ve got to run your own race and don’t look back.

Many times when we finally get the confidence to fulfill that desire in our heart we get caught up and distracted in the glitter and glamour of those who have already came before us and have already achieved a fair amount of success. And what does it do? It throws us OFF track! I know…I have been there, but the thing is…

…there is only 1 you.
…There is only 1 me.

Each of us have our strengths and weaknesses. Our talents and special gifts. That’s how God made us so that we could support one another in love. Where one is weak another is strong.

Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Be grateful for the master piece God made in you and run your race 🙂

In love, blessings, and pursuit,
Cassandra 🙂

Unwavering belief

Have you ever tried to make a new path for yourself? Or you are on one track and when you get rejected negative people seem to plant little seeds of doubt in your mind…then comes the fear of uncertainty, failure, with only a glimpse of success remaining.

But the one thing that you must always do as a solution, is be grounded in unwavering faith and belief. You must believe in yourself. You have to be rooted and grounded in who you are and your purpose so that you don’t get steered in the wrong direction.  So stand firm in who you are and know that you can make an impact no matter where or who you are!

Looking in the mirror

What does your mirror tell you to change?

My 11-year old son is always looking in the mirror. It’s both funny and weird because although he is always looking in the mirror, he sees his flaws yet hardly ever changes them.

This made me do some thinking…I thought isn’t that just like us as we try to accomplish our goals or strive to better ourselves. We constantly reflect over our mistakes and yet in our own evaluations of ourselves we choose to leave our flaws as they are. We get too comfortable. In a sense we choose to leave our flaws unchanged and the same instead of changing them and growing from them.

So let me ask you, what is it that you need to change, remove, and/or work on? What alterations do you need to make in your life? What habits can you fix that would help to ensure that your goals in life are met? Don’t just think about it! Don’t just leave the dried up toothpaste stain on your face (so to speak :-)) or leave those dangling strings hanging off your clothes. Take evaluation and make the change today and alter your life!

Be blessed everyone!!! 🙂 Please feel free to leave comments. What changes do you need to make? What is your action plan to making the change?
